The name is a bit misleading, as the K2 Lockjaw Carbon Adjustable Ski Poles are actually a hybrid construction featuring a carbon upper shaft and 7075 Aluminum lower shaft, which could be a good thing when you’re 10 miles from the trailhead as aluminum tends to bend rather than snap. The poles are super solid, and feature a lightweight EVA grip extension and K2’s bomber Lockjaw 6000 Adjustment hardware, plus an articulating powder basket that adjusts to the slope angle when skinning on a sidehill.
