You love the idea of bringing your carefully cultivated bag of freestyle tricks to the BC, but first you need to get up the hill? The Cardiff Crane Enduro Splitboard was built with you in mind. The Enduro built is Cardiff’s most durable and bombproof, the HALFcamber65 profile adds plenty of spice to your ride, and the Crane Enduro split flies uphill, well, like a bird.

Rocker Type

HALFcamber65– HALFcamber places camber where it is absolutely necessary and gradual rocker everywhere else. The result is maximum glide, maneuverability and edge control. HALFcamber65 features camber underfoot on 65% of the deck.

Shape

PERFECTpivot 2.0– Every Cardiff snowboard is uniquely designed to match the shape to the camber – resulting in a new standard of performance.

Core

SWALEtail™ SP– Our unique recurved tails on all CARDIFF splitboards will accommodate a variety of skin tail-clips even those designed for skis

BIloba™ SP– All CARDIFF splitboards feature a chamfered inner edge of the split ski at both the tip and tail to allow for hood free touring and damage free connection

SPLITtech Optimized– All CARDIFF splitboards are optimized for both soft-boot and hard-boot touring setups. Hard-boots typically have longer sole lengths than soft-boots and hard-boot bindings such as Phantom Alphas sit lower to the surface of the splitboard. This requires a slightly wider deck underfoot, which all of our splitboards feature. Our splitboard cores are reinforced in the connection areas and bindings to handle additional forces from the metal and other hard bindings.

Terrain: Freestyle, All-Mountain, Splitboarding FreestyleFreestyle or park snowboards tend to be a bit shorter in length and love terrain parks, rails, jibs, trash cans, tree trunks, riding switch (non-dominant foot forward), wall rides and more. Freestyle boards often feature a true twin shape, and are typically selected by those looking to ride the terrain park. A more versatile variant of a freestyle board is the all-mountain freestyle, which combines the versatility of an all mountain snowboard with the playfulness of a freestyle snowboard. All-MountainAll-mountain snowboards are designed for exploring the whole mountain. They are your go-to for a snowboard that will do anything. They feel at home on groomers, powder, park runs and almost anything in between. The vast majority of snowboarders choose all-mountain boards for their great versatility. If you’re just getting started or unsure of exactly what you need, an all-mountain snowboard is a great choice. SplitboardingA splitboard snowboard is built specifically for the backcountry rider. Splitboards are designed to break down into two separate halves for touring and uphill travel (with climbing skins). Special bindings are required as well. Once you’ve reached the top of the terrain feature, you reconnect your splitboard for the ride back downhill. However, it’s important to note that you will need appropriate backcountry tools, knowledge of the backcountry, weather and snow conditions and climbing skins to safely take advantage of the freedom of a splitboard.

Ability Level: Intermediate-Advanced Intermediate-AdvancedWhether you’re a progressing intermediate exploring new runs and terrain, or an accomplished rider seeking new thrills, the majority of skiers and snowboarders fall into this level. Intermediate to advanced skis and snowboards may be somewhat wider or stiffer than beginner-intermediate skis and snowboards, usually with a stronger wood core and sandwich sidewall construction. Intermediate to advanced boots and bindings range from softer flexing freestyle options to stiffer choices built for stability at speed.

Rocker Type: Rocker/Camber/Rocker Rocker/Camber/RockerRocker/Camber/Rocker shapes seek to give you both hard-carving edgehold on firm snow from camber underfoot with enhanced turnability and float in powder from the rockered tip and tail. This profile is increasingly popular for freeride boards designed primarily for soft snow.

Shape: Directional Twin

Flex Rating: Medium MediumThe amount a snowboard flexes varies significantly between boards. Snowboard flex ratings are not necessarily standardized across manufacturers, so the flex may vary from brand to brand. Many manufacturers will give a number rating ranging from 1-10, 1 being softest and 10 being stiffest. Here at evo we have standardized the manufacturers’ number ratings to a feel rating ranging from soft to very stiff. Generally you will find flex ratings of 1-2 as soft, 3-5 as medium, 6-8 as stiff, and 9-10 as very stiff. Flex ratings and feel may ultimately vary from snowboard to snowboard.
