The Burton X EST Snowboard Bindings are top level all-mountain binders to get you charging hard on your Burton board. Made for the minimalist, you get the closest boot to board contact of any binding thanks to Burton’s signature EST system. Paired with the responsive highback and featherweight carbon construction of the X, your bindings and feet disappear as you become one with your snowboard, ripping down the mountain as if you were flying through the snow like an angel of pow.

Flex

Medium-Stiff Flex– Helps with quick, technical maneuvers, even at high speeds. Great for all-mountain carving, powerful freeriding and charging through the terrain park.

Baseplate

Single Component 50/50 Carbon Fiber / Nylon Composite Blended– One material throughout creates consistent response and feel for all-terrain domination. Supreme reactivity, weightlessness, and strength.

SpringBED Suspension System– Like having a trampoline underfoot, the SpringBED suspends the rider off of the board for amplified cushioning and rebound that is unlike anything else in snowboarding.

EST® Binding System– By removing the materials from beneath your feet and replacing them with cushioning, Burton is able to drastically reduce weight and explore entirely new designs. With EST®, the possibilities for flex is infinite, and so are the stance options.

DialFLAD™– The higher the Forward Lean angle on your hi-backs, the quicker your heel-edge turns. Crank ’em forward for icy hits in the pipe, or back ’em off for jibbing.

Asym Hammockstrap™– Featuring the same minimal and seamlessly comfortable design as the Hammockstrap, this asymmetrical pad and spine shape wraps the boot in response. Flip the straps for increased freedom, or run stock for power and support.

Supergrip Capstrap™ 2.0– Minimalist design merges two materials into one technologically advanced toe strap. A firmer material in the spine provides a supportive and lightweight skeleton, while a softer over-molded material improves boot wrap and comfort. Featuring Ultra-minimized and fully injected with an over-molded design. Made ultra-durable, glue-less, stitch-less and PU-free construction. 3D curved with a triple axis spine as well as a true wrap toe window.

Flex Slider– Makes strapping-in a breeze with a strategically stretched hinging zone that allows the heel strap to flex and fall fully open. Thanks to science of forced molecular alignment, the Flex Slider is also incredibly strong.

Double Take Buckles with Insta-Click– Be the first to drop in with the rapid ratcheting of Burton’s Double Take Buckles. Ability Level: Advanced-Expert Advanced-ExpertWhether you charge the steepest lines, hit the biggest jumps in the park or carve with race-like precision, advanced to expert level skis, snowboards, boots and bindings are for the more aggressive rider. In skis and snowboards, you’ll often find layers of metal, carbon or other stringers for rigidity and power, while advanced to expert level boots and bindings are usually on the stiffer side of the spectrum for rebound and precision steering.

Flex Rating: Stiff StiffThe amount a snowboard flexes varies significantly between boards. Snowboard flex ratings are not necessarily standardized across manufacturers, so the flex may vary from brand to brand. Many manufacturers will give a number rating ranging from 1-10, 1 being softest and 10 being stiffest. Here at evo we have standardized the manufacturers’ number ratings to a feel rating ranging from soft to very stiff. Generally you will find flex ratings of 1-2 as soft, 3-5 as medium, 6-8 as stiff, and 9-10 as very stiff. Flex ratings and feel may ultimately vary from snowboard to snowboard.
