Dedicated rippers who already own the sidecountry and want to push their agenda further into the self-powered realm have been all over the Atomic Hawx Ultra XTD 115 GW Alpine Touring Ski Boots for a while now, and this season won’t be any different. With a precise, narrow fit all the way through the midfoot and ankle, this boot skis better than many pure alpine boots but offers an exemplary tour mode for accessing those cherished backcountry lines. For the new season, Atomic drops the polyamide cuff and shell on the Ultra XTD line and goes with a smoother flexing and better skiing True Flex PU (polyurethane) construction, so the weight is up slightly but the boot skis with the predictability of a true alpine boot.

Fit

Last: 98 mm– A narrow and low volume touring last.

Memory Fit– Advanced heat-fitting technology creates a fully personalized shell, cuff and liner in minutes. The key is Memolink, Atomic’s special additive that improves the moldability and stretch of their plastics. Expansion can be up to 6mm forefoot width and up to 10mm ankle width, resulting in a permanent and complete anatomical fit in minutes. See your bootfitter for details.
