When you re-design an icon like the Atomic Hawx Prime 95 W GW Ski Boots you want to step lightly and hopefully not go backwards. In this case, Atomic’s done a fantastic job of retaining the awesome fit of the previous Prime with a new, cleaner silhouette, easier step-in, less weight, and even more effective Memory Fit heat molding. Whether you’re new to ski boots or hate your old ones, the Hawx Prime 95 W is the place to start.

Fit
      Â
Adaptive Fit Cuff System–        These boots come with a special spoiler in the back of the cuff. If you want a classic, cozy fit around the calf you can just leave the spoiler in. If you want more volume you can take the spoiler out. This makes the boot cuff slightly lower at the back, more tuliped and more open (equivalent to one cuff size larger). It’s quick, easy and you don’t need tools.
      Â
      Â
   Dual-Sided Cuff Alignment
      Â
      Â
Last: 100 mm–        Designed for average width feet with average and slightly taller insteps.
      Â
      Â
Memory Fit–        Advanced heat-fitting technology creates a fully personalized shell, cuff and liner in minutes. The key is Memolink, Atomic’s special additive that improves the moldability and stretch of their plastics. Expansion can be up to 6mm forefoot width and up to 10mm ankle width, resulting in a permanent and complete anatomical fit in minutes. See your bootfitter for details.
      Â
Flex
      Â
Flex: 95–        A medium-stiff flex for balanced power and response for intermediate to advanced riders
      Â
Liner
      Â
3D Silver Liner–        Features Asymmetric Liner Construction with an asym tongue, toe box, collar shape and high-quality lining materials.
      Â
      Â
3M™ Thinsulate™ Insulation–        Keeps feet warm and responsive even in extremely cold and damp conditions.
      Â
      Â
3D Stretch Toe Box–        Asymmetrically shaped for left and right, the new 3D Stretch Toe Box takes first fit and customization potential to the next level. Its ‘Big Toe Friendly’ construction maximizes the liner’s available length allowing for a little extra stretch when important millimeters are required to achieve the perfect fit.

      Â
   Shell–        Polyurethane

      Â
Prolite–        Instead of starting with a standard construction and cutting material away to save weight, Prolite does the opposite. It starts with the slimmest possible profile and then builds up reinforcements in key areas where strength is needed – like the Energy Backbone down each boot spine.
      Â
      Â
Energy Backbone–        A reinforced, asymmetric backbone providing extra strength for powerful skiing plus enhanced lateral energy transmission for better edge grip.

-    Ability Level:    Intermediate-Advanced                                    Intermediate-AdvancedWhether you’re a progressing intermediate exploring new runs and terrain, or an accomplished rider seeking new thrills, the majority of skiers and snowboarders fall into this level. Intermediate to advanced skis and snowboards may be somewhat wider or stiffer than beginner-intermediate skis and snowboards, usually with a stronger wood core and sandwich sidewall construction. Intermediate to advanced boots and bindings range from softer flexing freestyle options to stiffer choices built for stability at speed.           Â
